Main components & operating principles of cutter systems
The cutter is the centerpiece. This comprises a steel frame with two gearboxes attached to the base. During operation, these run in contrary motion around a horizontal axis. Cutting wheels mounted on the gearboxes loosen the soil material continually and break it down. The pump installed directly above the cutting wheels conveys the support slurry loaded with soil material up to the surface of the desanding plant. Solids and slurries are separated there. The slurries are then pumped back into the slurry circuit. The capacity of the cutter is determined by the crowd force and the torque. To achieve an optimal cutter performance, our cutters are equipped with with assistance systems to control the cutting parameters.
