RTG's Multi-Shaft Mixing System: With quadruple power into a new era of soil mixing

  • Versatile applications: Cut-off walls, groundwater barriers, flood protection, soil improvement
  • Easy handling thanks to hydraulic lifting device and optional Automatic Coupling System (ACS)
  • B-Tronic system enables real-time monitoring, gearbox synchronization and optimized mixing process.

Munich, Germany – In modern special foundation engineering, innovative solutions are essential to meet the increasing demands for precision, efficiency and environmental sustainability. RTG Rammtechnik GmbH’s multi-shaft mixing system (MSM) is a pioneering example. With a quadruple mixing drive, the system offers impressive flexibility and efficiency far beyond what conventional triple mixing drives can achieve. Particularly in the area of soil mixing techniques, the system is valued as an economical and versatile solution.

Quadruple mixing drive for added flexibility

The centerpiece of the MSM system: up to four independent rotary drives which turn the mixing paddles into the soil in a parallel arrangement. Cement slurry is pumped continuously through a hollow stem. Thanks to the multiple rotary drives, the system has particularly flexible applications: Different mixing distances and configurations can be adapted to suit the individual requirements of the construction site. The system can be used both on telescoping leaders and fixed leaders from RTG.

Wide range of applications

The MSM system opens up a broad spectrum of applications: It is used for constructing cut-off walls in contaminated soil, groundwater barriers, and sealing or rehabilitation flood protection dikes and levees. The system also shows off its strengths in excavation pits or for other structural requirements, such as soil improvement. Thanks to the unique arrangement of the individual elements, secant cut-off walls can be constructed continuously with high levels of leak tightness and stability.

Efficient handling and customer-oriented adjustments

One key feature of the MSM system is its user-friendly handling. A hydraulically controlled lifting device allows for convenient attachment of the mixing tools. An optionally available Automatic Coupling System (ACS) enables rapid and straightforward exchange of attachment units, further enhancing efficiency. Another notable advantage: The MSM system operates without an additional joint, which can impede the passage of slurry in similar equipment models. The standard mixing tool has a diameter of 914 mm. However, other tools and connections can be customized to meet individual requirements for different construction projects.

Technological assistance from B-Tronic

With the B-Tronic system from Bauer, the MSM system becomes even more user-friendly and efficient. B-Tronic enables seamless real-time monitoring of all relevant production data. This minimizes downtimes and optimizes the entire production process. The system’s synchronization mode allows for automatic synchronization of the mixing drives during the mixing process, adjusting the lowest possible torque for consistent and optimal mixing performance.

A cutting-edge system for special foundation engineering

The MSM system from RTG Rammtechnik GmbH ushers in a new area of soil mixing techniques. With its advanced technology, adaptability to various jobsite conditions and technological assistance from the B-Tronic system, it is an essential tool for modern special foundation engineering.
