Why choose drilling tools from Bauer?
The different types of our Kelly drilling tools

Bauer augers for soft to rocky soils; for dry drill holes

Bauer buckets for soft to rocky soils; for drill holes with liquid

Bauer core barrels for hard to very hard rock, gravel, and reinforced concrete
Augers are used in special foundation engineering to drill holes quickly and efficiently in suitable ground conditions.
They are characterized by their simple design and handling and are therefore the most cost-effective Kelly drilling tools. The different cutting geometries and tooth sets make them flexible and enable continuous drilling progress. Augers are suitable for drilling in
soft soils (silt and clay)
sandy soils (loose to compact)
gravel (loose to dense)
rock and stones: (harder soils and soft to medium-hard rock)
mixed soils: (soils that have a mixture of the above properties)

Buckets are the most effective and safest drilling tools for wet drilling. No loss of material when pulling through the water column. Prevention of hydraulic soil breakage. Easier handling on site due to controlled emptying of the tool. Buckets are suitable for drilling in
soft soils (silt and clay)
sandy soils (loose to compact)
gravel (loose to dense)
rock and stones: (harder soils and soft to medium-hard rock)
mixed soils: (soils that have a mixture of the above properties)

Core barrels ensure precise and efficient drilling work in difficult, hard soil layers. We have developed them to achieve an optimum balance between cost-effectiveness and the hardness of the ground to be worked. Core barrels are suitable for drilling in
hard to very hard rock
gravel
reinforced concrete

Special drilling tools are sometimes required for certain requirements in special foundation engineering that cannot be met with standard drilling tools. This may be the case if particularly large diameters or adaptation to special geological conditions are needed. With our Bauer special drilling tools, you are always ideally equipped. Thanks to our decades of experience and our innovation-driven team of developers, we have the right equipment for every project.

Our exchange tools for your wear parts – time-saving and reliable
Replaceable teeth are special, exchangeable studs that are attached on casing shoes or core barrels. The focus on these studs is their durability, since the casing shoe is generally drilled down to the final depth and the tooth trim has to remain in place securely.
Your advantages
- Replaceable teeth can be used in nearly all soil strata.
- They can be exchanged quickly and easily
- Optimized V shape for displacement of drill spoil when pulling
- High variability for a wide range of applications
- Universal holder system for nearly all types
- Excellent drilling performance as well as outstanding value for money
Our replaceable teeth are suitable for cased boreholes in sand, silt, gravel, clay, rock (up to 100 MPa).

Flat teeth are designed to process a larger area of soil – compared with other cutting blade tools – in the same period of time. This enhances the cutting performance and makes drilling faster and more efficient.
Your advantages
- Flat teeth are the most effective wear part for loose soils
- Highly efficient soil removal
- Very good transport properties
- Adjustable cutting angle for optimal cutting performance
Our flat teeth are suitable for drilling in sand, silt, gravel and clay.

Our round shank chisels are also suitable for gravelly and clayey soils, however they primarily reveal their full performance capacity in hard and dense soils (in hard rock up to 100 MPa). The shape and material combination of our round shank chisels efficiently break down the structure of the drilling material, which accelerates and facilitates the drilling process.
Your advantages
- Faster drilling process
- Easy and quick to replace
- Excellent value for money
Our round shank chisels are suitable for hard and dense soils as well as rock.

Roller bits are special wear parts that are used in drilling through hard rock formations, for example. They comprise a base body and rotating roller equipped with carbide-covered pins that is fitted on a socket. This roller turns during the drilling process and crushes the rock, making it easier to penetrate into the hard stone.
Your advantages
- Ideal for drilling in extremely hard rock (with more than 100 MPa)
- Maximum cutting performance and smoother running thanks to ballistic carbide
- Drilling in rock without damage to equipment, smooth drilling process
- Low torque requirement, which makes it possible to use smaller equipment
- Economical alternative to MHD (cluster drill)
Our roller bits are suitable for drilling in extremely hard rock (with more than 100 MPa).
