Multifunctional, low-emission, powerful: Bauer drilling rigs at bauma 2025
- BG 55 with V-kinematics as the largest exhibit
- Premiere: New BG 30 H and BG 36 H unveiled
- Innovative concrete screw pile method demonstrated on eBG 33 H all electric
Munich, Germany – With the models BG 30 H, eBG 33 H all electric, BG 36 H and BG 55, the BAUER Maschinen Group showcased an impressive selection of its BG series at bauma 2025, equipped for a wide range of applications. “Our high-performance drilling rigs excel in multifunctionality and sustainability. They offer solutions for a variety of drilling, mixing, and diaphragm wall methods, setting new standards in efficiency and eco-friendliness,” remarks Johann Kraxenberger, Head of Product Management for the drilling rig product line at BAUER Maschinen GmbH.
For example, the award-winning Energy Efficient Power technology (EEP) not only reduces CO2 emissions but also increases the performance of the equipment by delivering energy with optimal efficiency exactly where it is needed. Energy recuperation during the lowering of the load into the borehole saves energy and protects both the environment and the operating company’s budget. Additionally, the easy equipment swapping allows operators to select the most economical method depending on the project requirements – another sustainable benefit for customers.
BG 55 with V-kinematics
The largest exhibit at the Bauer stand was the BG 55. With its V-kinematics – a mast that can be shifted forward in transport position – it combines a high level of rigidity for demanding applications with exceptional versability during mobilization. Its mobilization package, including remote control and hydraulically activated main connecting bolts on mast and kinematics, enables fast and safe commissioning. At bauma, the BG 55 was displayed with an equipment package for the CCFA (Cased Continuous Flight Auger) double-head drilling method. Thanks to the enhanced BAUER Torque Multiplier (BTM 600) with increased torque (600 kNm) and an optimized transmission ratio for higher speed on the inner auger, both the auger and the casing are newly coordinated and powered simultaneously. This enables deeper and larger CCFA boreholes.
BG 30 H with FDP method
The new BAUER BG 30 H, an evolution of the best-selling model BG 28 H, demonstrated the full displacement pile method (FDP). This method minimizes fuel consumption per linear meter of pile due to its productivity, optimizes the installed concrete masses through increased pile load capacity and considerably reduces the amount of excavated material. Particularly when dealing with contaminated soil, this means significant savings in disposal effort and costs. The BG 30 H with FDP method combines environmental friendliness with high efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
BG 36 H: Low-maintenance and powerful
The new BAUER BG 36 H exemplifies the perfect combination of performance, low maintenance and safety. At bauma, the rig remained faithful to the classic Kelly drilling method, while integrating modern assistance systems such as Crowd Plus to increase performance for challenging casing work and Stability Plus maximum, control-assisted safety with an extended boom outreach, even in demanding work environments. Another highlight: the Kelly auger cleaner, which markedly reduces noise emissions in urban areas. For operators, this can pay off as an enormous advantage in the form of extended operating times. And what’s more: This multifunctional rig can of course be used for all common rotary drilling techniques and mixing methods.
eBG 33 H all electric with concrete screw pile method
Another highlight at the Bauer stand was the eBG 33 H all electric, presented with the innovative concrete screw pile method. This combination is the result of a cooperation between Bauer Maschinen and Aarsleff. In this method, the piles prefabricated by the customer are screwed into the soil in a spiral shape. The special design of these piles makes it possible to reduce concrete consumption while also increasing the load-bearing capacity of the pile. Apart from the electrification of the drilling rig, the method therefore also makes an important contribution to conserving valuable resources.
Electrified Bauer drilling rigs for locally emission-free work
Bauer is driving the electrification of its drilling rigs. In 2021, the eBG 33 cable electric was presented – a fully electric drilling rig with extremely powerful, cable-bound electric drive for locally CO2-free work. It can handle standard drilling methods just as reliably as high-performance applications, such as soil mixing or double-head drilling. It can even be used as a trench cutter. Now the eBG 33 H all electric is setting new standards for energy efficiency: Electrified main consumers and a modern battery system enable wireless operation for an entire workday. In addition, operators and residents benefit from extremely low noise emissions.
With the BG models presented at bauma 2025, BAUER Maschinen GmbH demonstrated how powerful and sustainable drilling rigs can revolutionize work on special foundation engineering sites. Whether classical Kelly drilling, innovative assistance systems or fully electrical solutions, the BG series from Bauer offers the optimal equipment for every requirement.
